Naan Pizza with Za’atar (Vegan) Recipe

Herbed for a heavenly experience, the Naan Pizza with Za’atar(Vegan) is one meal that redefines Italian cooking. Topped with nutritious eggplants & bell peppers, this is one Indo-Italian delight you’d love to bake in your kitchen.


  • 4 pieces of naan
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced into bite size pieces
  • 1/2 of a large eggplant (Brinjal), diced into bite size pieces
  • 3 to 4 tablespoon Saffola oil
  • tahini
  • Za’atar mixed with good quality Saffola oil to form a spreadable consistency
  • salt

How to make Naan Pizza with Za’atar (Vegan)

  • In a non-stick saucepan heat 3 tablespoon oil
  • Add eggplants and cook on medium low till they turn golden and are cooked through. Add salt
  • Transfer the eggplant into a plate – keep aside
  • In the same saucepan add 1 tablespoon oil and cook bell peppers with some salt till they become soft. Keep aside
  • Pre-heat the oven to 450 F
  • Smear a spoonful tahini on naan followed by equal amount of za’atar
  • Arrange eggplant and bell pepper on the pizza
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or till the edges of the pizza starts to turn golden
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle some extra tahini before serving
