Gold prices rise as speculators enlarge positions

Gold costs ascended by Rs 149 to Rs 30,005 for every 10 grams in prospects exchanging on Friday as examiners augmented positions in the midst of a firming incline abroad.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), the gold for conveyance in far-month June was exchanging higher by Rs 149, or 0.50%, to Rs 30,005 for every 10 grams, in a business turnover of seven parcels.

Also, the yellow metal for conveyance in April ascended by Rs 144, or 0.49%, to Rs 29,760 for each 10 grams in 295 parts.

Examiners said a firming pattern in the worldwide markets where gold rose 0.13% to $1,262.30 (about Rs 84,914.92) an ounce in Singapore, has affected gold fates.
